ETS uses these categories to trend out tickets over time, and see what common issues impact applications, servers, network devices, and databases. For example, in January of 2016, it was identified that there was a sudden increase in alerts for low disk space on the C drives of servers running the Windows 2008 operating system. We compiled the data into a report, which was then presented to the leading manager of the Windows Server Support team, who then had their team investigate the issue. It was then decided to increase the amount of C drive space on the impacted servers. Their process was also updated to increase the amount of memory allocated to the C drive on new server builds.
